Red Red Robin

We were getting ready to do some gardening when I spotted this robin preening her feathers, seemingly enjoying the warmth of the mid-morning sun. She was quite puffy and I wondered if she might be pregnant but once she flew off her feathers were all in their right places and she was suddenly trim • MrsP and I finally got the potatoes planted, eight bags worth. Most of the runner beans are up too. Consecutive days of sun have really made a difference, although I can’t say the tomato and pepper plants look too spiffy but it’s early yet • There hasn’t been a sighting of a hummingbird for several days so that’s concerning. We did find a dead mole in the garden, and we agree Lewis is the likely suspect as he roams the area at night • Another week, with continued nice weather. No complaints here! • Veggie burgers and fries on the menu. Peace & Love
