The latest arrivals

A very quick visit to Maxwell Park after church this morning. I was planning to check up on the young swan family .... all was well there with mum, dad and the three cygnets nibbling away at the slime on the edge of the pond.

Then from nowhere came this family of tiny ducklings sticking very close to mum .... only a day or so old I expect. No sign of any gulls or the heron so fingers crossed. I think the youngsters are at their most vulnerable when they start scooting about like ping pong balls on the water.
