The long and winding road.

We walked the second stage of the South Downs way from Exton to Buriton. The weather was cloudy but warm. Beautiful scenery along the way. Stopped off for a cake at a fishing lake and made a detour down this windy lane to East Meon. The village is picture post card pretty and has a Norman church in pride of place ( see extra) overlooking the cottages. Stopped off for a drink and then back to the trail. Missed a turning which added an hour to our walk. Found a local hosteliery for a pint and a well earned meal.
