Green
In the late afternoon, the sun came out for the first time in days. I went into the garden to find a blip, and took some pictures of the flowers that (so far) survived this year’s massive slug invasion.
The love-in-a-mist is thriving in the rainy weather, and it’s attracting some visitors. This one has the aptly named thick-legged flower beetle sitting on it.
It’s eating pollen, not the plant itself, so I don’t mind it as much as the slugs, which have destroyed all our vegetable plants this spring - apart from the tomatoes, which seem to be immune.
The extra is a climbing rose, which is looking especially beautiful at the moment.
