Willow Warbler

We heard an unusual bird sound on the Zoar Road and eventually tracked it down. It didn’t sound like a Willow Warbler because it was the call and not the song, which until now we didn’t know the difference between.

“Bird songs are complex and primarily related to mating and territoriality, while bird calls are simpler and serve various day-to-day communication functions.”

We confirmed it was the call using the Merlin app.
