This year's teasel
This evening we went out to try and get some shots of the local birds, and specifically goldfinches. We found some on the a clump of thistle seed heads, but they were behind too many stems and leaves for a really clear shot and as a result are out of focus too. And then they got scared and flew off and didn't come back! So we went on to see what else we could find.
Not sure that I have ever spotted what a teasel was like before it dries out and is all brown and prickly. Now I know! They really are quite beautiful in their own way, and even the dried out ones are still magnificent.
