White Iris

Because I decided to fast today, time seemed to move rather slowly and the day felt lazy and unproductive. But upon reflecting back it was busier than it felt. I spent some time wandering about the field and appreciating a patch of white iris I have no recollection of ever seeing there before. Spent some time observing a pair of bluebirds which I know we have never seen around the field before, which was a real treat. I went for a walk with my wife, learned a new game which I recently picked up from a thrift store (Azul - got it brand new for four bucks), and watched Real Madrid win the Champion's League final. In between all this I did some research on handwriting instruction, including listening to several podcasts, exploring a few websites, and adding a couple items to my classroom budget for next year. And I did a load of laundry, so my clothes are all hung up and organized for the upcoming work week. I think that's a pretty good assortment of items for a day off.
