Cormorants On The Weir. Leitz Telyt-V 200mm

I set off on a Blipedition this afternoon taking with my biggest tele lenses to photograph a city vista which I've had in my mind for a while.  The images turned out less interesting than I'd anticipated.  So, while I was in the car and had the big lenses at hand, I headed for the weir on the Charles River to see what birdlife could be found there.  We have had a lot of rain in the last few weeks and the river was very full, the water pouring over the weir at a good clip.  The flood had washed down a tree limb which was jammed against the concrete.  Sure enough, there were two cormorants perched, waiting for hapless fish to be swept over.
