Game, Set and Match
This was the day to remember or maybe not, all depends what happens at Wimbledon. I got up early and put Gavin in the shower then we had breakfast.
The time moved on so slowly then it came to 2 pm and the match was about to start. The two warriors went at it hammer and tongs, 20 stroke rallies and each set taking an hour to play and not even a tie break in sight.
I sat with fingers crossed as Murray served for the match 40 - love up, he really must win it now but no, point after point squandered. Oh no surely he wont fall now but no the next match point he does it, our Andy Murray is the Wimbledon Champion.
I am sitting out the back now and the midges are just starting to bite. Got Cheryl to stand with Euan's tennis racquet in her hand with the sunset in the background. What a day, one that will live long in the memory. Surely now he will win Sports Personality of the year.
Well done Andy Murray what a game you had and what a set to win, and you and Kim make a fine match. That was the only disappointment, thought he would have proposed to Kim when he was being interviewed at the end. That would have been a lovely way to finish a fantastic day. Maybe it's just that I am an old romantic.
