Crawick Multiverse

It was too nice today to stay in and tidy the house.  A while back friend G had sent me a link to Crawick Multiverse asking if it was near up us as it looked cool.  Turns out it's only 35 minutes away in the borders and it did look cool so we headed out.

The site is an former open-cast coal mine and landscape artist Charles Jencks turned it into an "art-land installation" all themed around the comos and universe.  The blip is of the mounds which represent the milky way and andromeda galaxies, taken from the north/south path lined with standing stones.  (For anyone who has been to Jupiter Artland, yes it's the same guy that did the mounds there - though these are a bit more rough around the edges which I like). The whole vibe is sort of moden scientific-neolithic and it's a pretty fun place. Beautiful surroundings too and a fab drive which lots of sheep and lambs on the road.
