Saturday: #30DaysWild - Common Shield Bug …
… I think, based on information here:
https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2021/05/shieldbug-identification/
We were up early, MrD drove us in my car to Llangefni where I finally found 2 charity shops which were willing to take my books and bric-à-brac, which have been in the boot of the car for a few months.
Next stop was the garage on the A5 where a team of men hand wash cars, my car is sparkling now just like a year ago - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3109205385605547494
Down the A5 towards the Bridges, we stopped at LlanfairPG, parked in Pringles car park and went over to the sewing shop where I bought some thread to repair MrD’s trousers, when we next have a rainy day! We also had a lovely chat with the owner of the antiques and collectibles shop, he’s related to an old friend of MrD and me, our departed friend had taught MrD and me when we were in our teens and twenties, he had a wicked sense of humour and is sadly missed :-(
Before leaving I also popped into Pringles and bought trousers for myself.
Last stop was Waitrose where we picked up some groceries then home for lunch, I’d collected some baby lettuce leaves which I had with my sandwich.
This afternoon I pottered in the garden, all my large flower pots were very dry so I’ve put the large trays back under them again and started using washing up water on the flower pots.
Continued watching last night’s film …
Loads of love and hugs to all my family / Cariad Mawr
