A Day Worth Recording

Bugatti Next

The Lemon has passed on.

107000 miles of simple practicality albeit with bizarre French quirks like the pumpy-up rear suspension (that shortly after this photo will leak and leave the rear resting gently on the wheels) and the non-rotating steering wheel centre.

The paperwork suggests we had it from new but it's more likely is was a reduced showroom vehicle as it had more bells, whistles and automation than I'd have chosen with a free choice, but a bargain tends to override things like that.

Apart from the commutes and holidays, it's shifted the Cheeseminors to and from university; so much stuff between houses, beds, tables, bikes, and materials.  The wonderfully smooth engine and gearbox feel like they'll do another 100k but the structural integrity is a bit suspect*.

Still, I'm glad to have got a manual gearbox back, and a manual handbrake again.  I just need to remember how to use them.

Prior to the Citroen we had a Peugeot.  Now we have a Renault.

To complete the bingo card of French Marques People Have Heard Of,  we need a Bugatti next.

I better start saving up now...
