View from Platform 3

After a substantial breakfast at the guest house, we had a lovely morning wandering around York in the sunshine, with the obligatory pause for coffee at a café by the Shambles market. At least MrM had coffee and a very luscious hazelnut croissant, and I opted for affogato - no need for lunch! After that we walked a short section of the city walls on the way back to the station.

Difficult to decide what to Blip. In the end decided on our view from Platform 3 of the roof of York station. The roof is an amazing structure, and from Platform 3 seemed to mirror the track below. In extras, the board outside a cheese shop, and buttercups by the city walls.

Back home for a short while, then back into Huddersfield for the jazz club. Another evening of excellent music!
