Ceausescu's villa

Today we crossed the Danube and arrived in Romania where left the boat for the final time and headed to Bucharest where after a bit of a city tour we went around Nicolae Ceausescu's villa where photography is not allowed.
The main Blip was taken in the main living area where many gifts from world leaders are kept the Ming vases were gifted from China by Mao Tse Tung and the are quite stunning, see the first Extra.

The second Extra shows the bathroom rumoured to be of solid gold but it is just gold plate and I doubt many would like it.

The third Extra is where Ceausescu gave his final speech and a blood bath ensued he tried to escape Bucharest but was captured tried and both he and his wife Elana were shot by firing squad. Of his three children the youngest was also killed as he had abused the political power given to him and sound to be a quite unpleasant person, the other two survived and still live in Bucharest.

Tomorrow is a travelling day flying to Turkey and Istanbul.
