Elk Meatballs

Elk meatball marinara on... kale. Wine: Fattoria Viticcio Chianti Classico Riserva 2015.

I was pretty frazzled today, so the eccentric meal is fitting. This was intended to be a spaghetti dish, but it turns out I didn't have the gluten free spaghetti on hand that I thought I did (and the meatballs wouldn't have worked very well with pea flour fusilli). I was also supposed to put the kale IN the meatballs but forgot, so it ended up under the meatballs as a last minute pasta substitute.
