40th birthday parties are great, now mine is over with I can enjoy the others. Today was our mate Alex's (although his birthday was in january and we already had a party, I is not one to sniff at some more Champagne and cake)

This is the lovely Laurent, one of my hubbie's best mates. He is funny, tender and wonderfully generous.
