I'm Ready for my Closeup

Papa Cardinal posed perfectly on the patio. He was interested in the shelled peanuts I had just put out. He and the starlings, grackles, rabbits, squirrels and sparrows were very happy with the pile of peanuts. Last night Fianna had the pleasure of watching a possum munching peanuts.

 I was watching them through the glass storm door when I saw something hilarious . A toad was hopping and stopping on a little excursion across the patio to get to the big rock in the middle. I lifted my camera to snap a photo of the toad. Just then a chipmunk came racing around the rock and came face to face with the toad! The chippie was quick enough to deek to the right, missing the shocked toad. I got a very blurry shot, but I have put it in the extras, the toad's leg made me laugh. He collected himself after a moment and slowly hopped on.
