Bowness Knott

Weather looked reliable so we went over to Ennerdale, Bowness side.. We've not been over this side for a year, somewhat put off by the forestry commission now charging for parking.
Anyway, as luck would have it their machine had some sort of communication issue so I saved £6.
Plan was a hike up onto Bowness Knott to keep the fitness effort going.
On the way we passed this small waterfall, I think it's called Dry Beck,  the evening sun was low through the trees and casting some great light. I think it outblipped my intended blip (thoughts?) from the summit of Bowness Knott (extra ) we are at about 1000ft Jess "volunteered" to go and stand on that outcrop for a sense of scale and depth...
Afterwards a debrief in the Shepherds Arms Hotel, Coniston Bluebird Bitter for me and a Stowford Press for the lady...
