A bad journey!

The day started withe us over-sleeping, oy by a half hour and we were gone by 8am - we were aiming to leave at 7.30 just to have some time in hand. The irony. We reached Calais at 4pm having grabbed a (horrible) sandwich en route after roadworks and an accident ate into the time factored in for stops. We were booked onto the 5.20 sailing - meant we'd be home around 10pm. Except boarder control P&O at great pains to point out nothing to do with the, had delays. We finally made it onto the 2230 sailing which they put on to alleviate the build up of waiting cars. No food at Calais, anything that had been at the coffee shop after customs had long gone. We had a slightly quirky picnic while waiting for the sailing and some grotty food on the ferry once on board.

Boys have been amazing. Except the youngest is suddenly feeling sick. Oh dear.

Edit - turns out the youngest gets sea sick. Probably not helped by tiredness or topsy- turvy food today.
