NOT IN THE PLAN

The Rev had planned another day out…unfortunately he hadn’t worked out how far it was away or sorted the weather!!!!
We left at 11 and drove for 2 hours to Henley in the rain!!! When we arrived at Grey Court we had our picnic in the car. Although the sun came out it was very windy.

We decided to go on a walk around the estate with Daisy…we were so lucky then it was actually quite warm. Then about 10mins from the end the heavens opened. We got soaked.
###…these were some of the beautiful flowers in the walked garden that we did in a tag team because Daisy couldn’t go in.
Then the sun came out…15 mins later we got soaked again…then more sun and showers. Inbetween we visited the NT shop and the cafe.
In the end we were both so wet and tired we didn’t even see the house!!! Then we had an awful journey home (3 hours). Although we shared the driving; by the time we got home, The Rev was definitely done in and not feeling well at all.
He was so disappointed that he hadn’t gone as planned and we agreed it would be best with an overnight stay.
