Flower Friday Fuchsias

Fuchsias are a favourite flower of mine, they look like dainty dancers. I took this on my damp and drizzmal (not a word, but it should be!) walk to work today.

We were busy as it's the end of the month. Some people run up tabs as they're skint from week 2 or 3, and today is the day they all pay up, which pleases Claire!

Jewsons are stock taking at the moment and closed at lunchtime. (Cue lots of their customers rolling up to the closed gates - we had fun lip-reading the expletives! I felt sorry for the two guys who had driven 40 miles because another Jewson branch had told them that Lincoln branch definitely had the items they required in stock...

The boss treated the staff to pizza today but Brian doesn't like pizza and had sausages and chips from the Van instead. One or two of the other staff said they would have preferred stuff from us too. It's probably best they didn't as we ran out of loads of things as it was, though I suppose if it was known in advance Claire would have had more stock.

Another reason we were busy was that the camper van place were having an event on the show ground and bussing people back to their premises and to get food from us. Claire is going up there in the morning to provide them all with breakfast!

Yesterday I was so excited about cheap milk in M&S that I didn't buy the burger coleslaw I'd gone in there for. So after work I went to Tesco for normal coleslaw as well as a few other bits before a cold and boring walk home - forgot to take earbuds to work again! At least it wasn't raining, just very windy!

Claire said it was so windy when she was setting up this morning she nearly changed her mind and went home. Hope it won't be like that on the show ground tomorrow!

Seriously, what is going on with the weather? It's worse than ever! I've heard contradictory forecasts, one suggests it will be 90 degrees within a week, the other saying it's going to carry on raining for the next 6 weeks! I suppose they are not mutually exclusive...

I think I'll just carry on looking out of the window to see what it's like...
