the evil bamboo

Mum and Dad left today, headed off for the ferry via a couple more chapels. They have been amazing, super-powered baby sitters. And helped clear the furniture in the mill, bringing it back to itself, which is so nice.

Just as they left Alleyne and Pauline arrived with 2 friends (and Ben the dog) for a mill tour, and afternoon coffee and cake. Then Alleyne says 'shall we crack on then?' I had completely forgotten they came for bamboo. And with team of 6 (one with a brushcutter and one on Nell entertainment) we cleared a 2 metre stretch, stripped all the canes, made a good bonfire pile and loaded 2 good bundles into his trailer; then we cracked open some cider to celebrate and sent them on their way. Good job, both teams happy.
