Cranesbill

Always happy to get my first sighting of the flowers on this cranesbill - in reality they're a much deeper magenta than the camera can manage, almost painful on the eyes. Drudged away for a while.

Had an unexpected visit to the Vaults in the evening as great-niece, partner and friend turned up in Edinburgh on their way to a jaunt in the Western Highlands. Vaults was very busy but coped well, and we had good food and drams as usual. I had missed Em's birthday yesterday, but made up for it by giving her a can of Smidge. She'll need it!

Got a text from D on Inchcolm passing on the news of DJT's conviction. I relayed it to the folk nearby, including taster-in-chief Dean who was so delighted he rang the bell and announced it to the whole room. There were no wild scenes, but a murmur of approval.
