Cooling off in the river
Hot, sunny day! We took a rare Sunday off and spent the afternoon lazing on the beach at Budle Bay. Sea too cold to swim, but fine for a paddle. Very few people on the beach despite the glorious weather - maybe everyone else was watching the tennis? Well done Andy Murray!
Before setting off we took Louie for a short walk, and crossing the bridge over the Blackadder Mr M spotted a fawn in the river below. Then its mum came into view. The river's very low, and they were grazing on the weed. And maybe they were trying to keep cool?
