Gloves
This glimpse of old advertising shop frontage in Denbigh has been offered by the removal of some boarding, although annoyingly not quite a clean removal - if only I’d had a step ladder and a screwdriver :-) Full shop front in extras.
Firkin’s gloves were clearly quite a thing, and vintage pairs still get offered up at premium prices on online market places. A search for Woodison caps did not come up with anything. I can’t exactly recall what this shop used to be, although there was a Burton’s in the general vicinity when I was a teenager.
After spending the morning pottering about Denbigh I had a smooth train journey back to Yorkshire.
