Aston Cross Clock Tower
Put here in 1891, this cast iron clock tower replaced an earlier clock tower, which in turn replaced a medieval cross, more details here, if interested.
Drove past this today, trying to avoid paying the clean air zone fee, on our way to Wex Photo Shop. Brought back memories of cycling into work from Erdington to the Lloyds Bank Overseas Centre in Birmingham City Centre, on my Moulton 4-speed (which I still have). Did that for two years, and only one small accident when a driver opened his car door suddenly.
Rushed photo and reflection of book I'm reading in but does represent my day.
Gratefuls:
- unexpectedly encountering my "camera angel", as I think of him, in this new place, (and now I know his name: Marcin Kubon), and immediately feeling secure about what to buy
- ordering another 2nd hand Fuji X Pro 1 (wanted the 2, but Marcin persuaded me that not worth the price)
- our babysitting charge peacefully asleep (her parents out at a Romesh Ranganathan comedy show)
