Sunset of the wing

With the temperatures soaring it was simply too nice a night not to go for a walk. I love the waterfront and it provides a quiet reminder that so much happens around us and slowing down to notice is good for the soul.

As the last embers of the day carefully shed the final strands of their fire, a lone bird took to the air on its way home and completed my shot.
