Northern Marsh Orchids

A lovely day, shame I have to work. The sunny conditions are still there for the lunchtime walk. I spot a Red Admiral on a bush, Extra. And walking along Cockmylane, some Northern March Orchids have appear at a spot near one of the Comiston Springs. Although it has been so wet, I am surprised they haven't appeared elsewhere. Everywhere seems marshy at the moment.

It clouds over in the afternoon, and persistent rain moves in. So no afternoon walk, instead a spin on the indoor bike.

Watched the final episode of Race Across the World in the evening. Will watch the post race episode on Thursday. Another very enjoyable series. I was surprised to find out that people didn't know at the end of each stage that the participants stayed in a nice, and safe, hotel for a couple of days. But then again, where else are you going to get your clothes washing done??? Plus, as has happened in previous series, families can get in touch with participants just in case there are serious family matters needing attention.
