Bus Pass Walk

Backblip for Tuesday 28 May (have also backblipped for Friday 24 May).  3 Bus Pass Walkers caught the bus to Gilstead and walked through Milner Field and down to the river - water raging today, and a heron seemed to be observing it from a fallen tree (extras).  Waited at Hirst Wood locks whilst a couple of narrow boats passed through (main image as liked the reflections), and then called for a coffee at The Higher Ground. We then walked through the woods and along the canal back to Bingley accompanied by several showers of rain. The flag irises are out along the banks and the water lilies are flowering now (extras). Nice to have P&B back with us after their holiday, and K&S joined us for refreshments at The Loft.
