Broadwood Loch

We went for a Wednesday afternoon excursion to Broadwood Loch this afternoon. We were in a pocket of sunny weather surrounded by thunder clouds so decided to stay local-ish. Conor was doing a lot of recording on his phone and was clearly enjoying the change of scene (we haven't been able to do excursions the last few weeks during Orla's exams). It's also relatively quiet on a Wednesday afternoon when most children are in school. 

In the morning, Conor was working on a Roblox game and he asked Dad for a bit of help with the scripting. He had an idea about how he wanted the game to work, but didn't know how to code it. Dad didn't know either, but did show Conor how to ask ChatGPT for the code and then test it out and make the small adjustments required to get it to work. And after a few attempts, it did work! And there are quite a few Lua functions in there that Conor understands. So he's doing well.
