Boy, was he on song today!

Today we had another stunning walk with six old friends going back to the 80s who were here for a reunion organised by one of our retiring colleagues. At the moment, as you may have noticed if you've been following my journal, the alpine flowers are at their very best. These trumpet gentians (gentiana acaulis) are probably some of the most stunning "chocolate box" flowers in the Alps.
