I Never Promised You a Rose Garden

We went this morning to the Arboretum to beat the heat. I knew the Rose Garden was in full bloom and I wanted to see it. Took photos of many roses, usually taking a shot of the name plate, but unfortunately, forgot to do that for this one. So I don't know what it is called, but it is a beauty.

TG's Song Title Challenge today is "Blipper's Choice". I have been a country music fan for many years. The one that came to mind today is I Never Promised You a Rose Garden. Here is Lynn Anderson singing it in 1973.

Lunch today was at the Hollywood Road House, previously the Hollywood Ranch House, which reopened this week after being closed for a couple years, sold and remodeled. Looking good and the food was terrific. We are happy for the new owner.

Tonight, supper is at the Hardings. It's been a really tough day in the kitchen! Too hot to cook.
