Red Bird of Paradise

These beauties are starting to bloom. I saw this one at the nearby pharmacy. It's more advanced in its bloom than others I've seen. I tried an acrylic filter. Kind of like it. I stuck the original in as an extra. The weather is hot and dry. We hit 100°/38° for the first time yesterday. And the humidity? A whopping 3% at the moment. It's nosebleed dry.

The nurse and physical therapist have already been here. The nurse reminded me about vegetables and the PT recommended prunes. As you can probably guess, still having intestinal issues since my hospital discharge three weeks ago. Medication isn't helping. I'm trying to be patient and optimistic.
