Theory into practice

After yesterday's speaking bootcamp it was another daft o'clock start today!
I was up at 4 am to load the car, then started speaking at 7 am to welcome athletes and commentate at the Southport Half Marathon.

As you can see, it's been bitterly cold, wet and windy today....... NOT!

It was a brilliant event and as always I met some wonderful people.

I've enjoyed the rest of the day travelling to Cornwall for a holiday.

The journey was made even more enjoyable by Andy Murray's incredible win at Wimbledon. I was rather hoping to catch the last bit on tv at the hotel.

Andy clearly wanted to get home.....
