Good news...

 
Good news…. bought first of the Scottish strawberries from a farm up in Angus. They are juicy and taste delicious, not like those horrible ones that have been in the supermarkets over the winter  coming from abroad.
Good news….my 12-year-old car passed its MOT with flying colours. While in the garage took the opportunity to check out some of the cars. Appalled at the prices. Saw one car, a modern version of my Fiesta - £28,000. (Apparently it has a souped up engine not that you could tell from looking at it).
Another, a bulky looking drab grey vehicle, more like a tank than a car, cost £76,000. It looked pretty ordinary to me though M assures me  it is special. It’ a Mustang. As far as I am concerned a car is something on four wheels to get me from A to B at the minimum of cost.
 
Good news….I watched  the Hay Festival online from the comfort of home despite the rain both here and at Hay. No more trudging through muddy fields and sitting in cold leaky tents.
