A Rose? - Or A Torn Sky?

I finished turning the mortar for the BIL (next will be the pestle) this morning.
It has had 2 coats of oil so far - a few more to go.
I also took a bucket full of stuff out of the pond (overgrown plant material, rotting leaves etc from the bottom ... along with some of the slates that are meant to surround the pond!) There is a lot more needing to come out.

There was a bit of shopping done - which is when SWMBO bought the reduced price flowers, I lit them using my trusty torch to give a a touch more drama - but the sky beat me hands down when it came to drama this evening. There was some interesting lighting on the houses across the road which meant there was something interesting out the back......
