Rock of Ages

A geologist will be able to say how old this rock above Saignon is, but I just loved the lighting and layers. A narrow path leads here from the centre of the absolutely delightful village, and some very well worn steps lead up to the top of this rock. More info if you search for Le Rocher de Bellevue.

It's such a peaceful spot up there surrounded by evening birdsong and buzzed by high speed swallows. A few other people came and went as my colleague and I just chilled. Nods and greetings but nobody disturbing the contemplation of the others.
