Light and Shade

We went today to the beautiful little hilltop village of Gassin, overlooking the Gulf of Saint Tropez where we are staying.  Spectacular views, hard to capture on camera.  So I thought, perhaps, there might be a blip in the narrow little backstreets.  I saw an arch up ahead, a patchwork of light and shadow.  And the figure of a woman in pink passing through it.  Unfortunately, she was mired in shadow.  I took the shot, and thought maybe it would do.  I was about to put my phone away when she suddenly emerged into a shaft of sunlight spilling down steps on the far side of the arch.  And I quickly snatched the shot before she vanished again into shadow.  I have uploaded the first shot as my extra.  I think it's not bad, but the sunlight makes it.
