Mowing day

My thoughts and heartfelt condolences reach out a world away to the family of Chaiselongue. We who knew her through words and sun washed photographs will also grieve her loss. She will be profoundly missed by so many devoted blip friends from all over the world who loved and respected what she added to this wonderful community. xx Betsey

Too hot to mow , but cooler than yesterday by a tiny bit. 93 degree heat index, mostly because it's overcast. Yesterday's heat index was 103 at this time. We have a huge lawn to mow, not pristine grass by any means, but it looks okay from the street. G took the iPhone shot for me, he's got the tractor now, doing his parent's lawn. He was on cooler but not by much Cape Cod since Thursday night. When it's hot there and on the coast of Maine it's a heat wave.

We went for a ride to the beach early last evening and it was hotter than home as we rode by the ocean! 93 at 7:30, way too hot, with dead still air.

A very hot Raspberry!!!

My brother and sister-in-law have been at our Machiasport Maine summer house on vacation this last week. They just sent me a text, they are moving slowly in a 30 mile back up from Kennebunk to the New Hampshire border, 4th of July week travelers coming south. The ride from Machiasport is 6 hours on a good day...

For the Record,
This day came in hot, but cooler than yesterday. This should be the last of the 90 degree weather, but next week still sounds too hot for me.
