Long weekenders
Backblip
Lovely BikerBabe arrived safe and sound from her scoot up the motorway from the midlands, having made good time on her motorbike. After a posh old dinner of beans on toast it was still light and not actually raining, so we had a wander around the post-flooded Bush estate for an hour or two.
We took a route I'd not walked for a couple of years and re-discovered one or two of the giant sequoias I'd seen before and then forgotten about. But we got to see the big one, too, whose soft, spongy bark was thoroughly fireproofed from all the recent rain!
After planning the heck out of last month's holiday, and given the changeable weather, it was nice not having anything particular in mind for outings or visits, other than a couple of ideas.
This little lavender plant was a present from her. I shall plant it for the bees once the weather improves!
