Maid in Wales

Lily the pink.

A wet day, but that didn't stop me going to Cowbridge, in my mac, of course. J dropped me off and he went to meet up with the boys. As I was walking through the Physic Gardens, I heard the church bells tolling a single chime, and I saw a few people walking past dressed in black. The church is opposite the gardens, and. as I thought, the hearse was waiting  outside the church, and I  thought it would be disrespectful to walk by, so I waited until the minister came out and walked in front of the coffin, and into the church.
I had a look around Happy Day's, but didn't buy anything today, and then next stop was the Cancer Research charity shop. I  bought a Seasalt organic cotton summer tunic for £17.50 (it  is brand new). This is about the best charity shop in the area, and I have got some great bargains from there in the past. I also bought a raffle ticket which will be drawn on the 16th July, so maybe I will be lucky. Next stop was a little shop called Stwff-Stuff, and I bought a Pom, Peace of Mind scarf for £8.50 . Definitely a good day. Made my way to Waitrose and had a lemon & white chocolate cake & a flat white, and read the newspaper. I started doing the shopping, when J arrived, just as I was getting to the checkout. An enjoyable morning.
