My birthplace

during the war, when my mother was evacuated to the countryside. This is a little spa town in the Harz mountains. I was baptized in the protestant Dom. After six months we moved back to her hometown Duisburg with her parents. My father was in Russian prison camp and came home, when I was 5 years old.
Many years later I visited this little spa town with my mother and you can see us here having coffee at the little outdoor cafe. I am the one with red hair and my mother with blonde hair.
