The Home Place

We went up to Deep Run first thing this morning as Kent wanted to check and see how the grass seed he had put out was growing.

I took my drone with me and took a few photos

This is the house that Kent’s grandfather built in 1905, and that his father was born in. It is the house that Kent grew up in.

Originally the kitchen was separate from the rest of the house but was moved to abut the house when they got indoor plumbing in 1968.

We were back home before noon and Kent hand washed his truck to get all the bugs off it. I watered my plants and then downloaded the photos I took with my drone.

When we were in Deep Run, we left a door mat at the front door of one of Kent’s nephew’s & his wife’s. When she got back in town later in the day she immediately texted us, knowing it came from us, although we left no note etc! We just know she likes flip flops and she knows we know. It’s nice making someone’s day!
