Marvellous Maxine

Treated 40 of her friends to a meal at Browns in Butlers Wharf, London this afternoon for her 60th birthday.  

Idiots that we are, Martin and I went initially to Canary Wharf Browns and thinking we had plenty of time to spare did a bit of window shopping.  On presenting ourselves at (the wrong) Browns, we then had to sprint across London to the right place, making it just in time for the meal.  D'oh.

What a lovely occasion it was, Maxine and I have known each other for more than 50 of those 60 years, and I knew several of the people there, and knew 'of' even more.  There was a lot of laughing and plenty of memories were shared.

Thank you Maxine and aka my present I hope to see just you for a catch up sometime in the next few months.
