Comfrey and bee.

A few years ago I bought a potted up Comfrey plant at a charity sale not knowing much about it or how big it would grow. Since then it has grown rapidly each year and become enormous and I love how it attracts the bees.
Last year it needed tied up so I decided this morning to get the help of Mrs AMK and tie it round the middle before it flopped over again- a job that needed gloves as the stems are covered in nasty sharp hairs. !

What I didn’t know until today is how the leaves are such a rich source of NPK and other minerals to make fertiliser for the garden so I will be making my own Comfrey  tea in a big bucket this year. ( I watched a video how to do it.) There is certainly no shortage of leaves and they will also be put to good use in the compost.
