Canal walk

Today B and I took the dogs to Porter’s mill lane between Droitwich and Worcester to walk by the canal there. There were lots of tall reeds along most of the canal. The hedges had dog roses and Elderflowers growing on them. There were buttercups and some cow parsley and some pink flowers that I didn’t know what they were growing along the edge of the canal. We heard lots of birds singing and saw a couple of damselflies. We noticed that we were walking along the route of the Monarch’s Way trail. This was the route Charles II took when he fled from the battle of Worcester in 1651. In extras, see B and the dogs as we sheltered from a rain storm under the bridge. also heard the cuckoo.
