Rain, Rain, Go Away.......
Well it better go away before the grass court tennis season starts in the UK in a few weeks time!!! To be fair, this was from a heavy shower, most of the day was dry and sunny at times. My photo was going to be of a steam train, but when I got to the car park to walk to the crossing, the car park was full, so I came home and did an hour of weeding in the garden instead. Whilst I'm feeling better generally in myself, I've still got the stomach pains - I'm fed up with this virus now!!!
I've enjoyed watching the French Open this afternoon. Rafael Nadal was returning to the French Open after only playing I think they said 12 matches in the last 16 months due to injury. As a result he wasn't seeded, wasn't match fit, and was unlucky to be drawn against the in-form No.4 Zverev. It should have been a fairly easy match for Zverev and he did win in 3 sets, but for 2 of those sets it was quite close, very entertaining and the match lasted over 3 hours. Potentially this is his last match at the French Open which he's won an incredible 14 times! I was excited to hear that he is partnering up with Carlos Alcaraz to play doubles at the Olympics in Paris (which will be played at Roland Garros).
