The Feast Day of Saint Augustine of Canterbury, 6th century. He is called Apostle to the English. Died circa 604. Both Catholics and Anglicans venerate this well known Saint.
Carl Acutis has been put forward by the Pope for canonisation. He was a model of virtue and deserves sainthood.
I was woken by an Amazon delivery at 7:50am. I was surprised by the early knock but it was a protective cover for Paul's new Galaxy Tablet. The rain has been incessant. We needed the heating on for a little while too. The strange thing is the sun keeps shining while it is raining. The forecast says it will stop raining by 2pm which is great. I need to buy a birthday card for my great nephew Elliot who is 3 years old soon.
I completed the Granny square blanket this morning. Apart from a soggy walk to buy our newspaper it was too rainy to go for a mid morning canal walk.
