Most civilised of homebirths. Called at 8.30 in the morning while still having tea in bed, drove out in camper, other midwife already there. Still early labour and we could see she needed her own space, so we decamped to Stan the van for coffee and catch up to let mumma do her own thing. Dad came out and called us when things had ramped up and we were there for when she needed us. Everyone delighted . Mum and baby doing great. Midwives beaming too . Just got all the paperwork to do now …….
