Back to life

Last year these didn't bloom and I thought about pulling then up. This year they surprised me with these beautiful blooms. 

Today I finally felt strong enough to go to the pool and paddle around for a half hour. I really enjoyed it and I know it's the best thing I can be doing right now. 

I contacted a friend last night who I'd lost touch with only to find out her husband had just passed away suddenly. She was so happy to hear from me and I was glad of that, but I was so shocked by her news. And I wondered what made me contact her just then when we hadn't talked for at least a year. Life is strange sometimes.
